♿ Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read and listen to Banana News. This page says what works today and how to tell us when something doesn't.

What you can adjust

• Text size and reduced motion: on Reading comfort. Kept only in your browser.
• Dark mode: the ◐ Theme button in the menu, or press t. We also follow your device's light/dark setting.
• Motion: we follow your device's "reduce motion" setting automatically.

Keyboard and screen readers

• Press ? for keyboard shortcuts, / to search, and Ctrl/⌘ K for the command palette.
• Pages use headings, labelled buttons and live regions so screen readers announce changes.
• Audio briefings come with a written transcript, and Ara answers in text as well as voice.

Known gaps

Some videos, charts and maps come from other sites and may lack captions or text alternatives. We link to the original source so you can use its own accessibility options.

Report a barrier

If something is hard to use, please tell us on the contact page: the page address and what happened. We read every report.
